Alexander-Arnold leaves as modern Liverpool great - but fans will feel hurt

Trent Alexander-Arnold's announcement that he is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season confirmed what had seemed an inevitability for months.

And even though his next destination was not mentioned in his emotional farewell video, it is an open secret that he will join his friend and England colleague Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid.
He's a good young player and any team would miss him but good luck to him with a new club and a new language to learn

Stevie. G would have signed for Chelsea if the scouse mafia hadn’t stopped him.  Some of these Liverpool fans slating Trent. Good on him he could have been comfortable at Liverpool but going for a new challenge.

Real Madrid are a great club but leaving the best club in the UK will be a challenge for him and I hope he does well over there.   Real used to insist on all their team speaking Spanish so I hope that Scouse is not his only language.
Mind you Beckham went there and I don't know if he ever spoke Spanish

Real seek to sign Alexander-Arnold for Club World Cup

The England defender has confirmed he will leave Liverpool when his contract expires this summer and the 26-year-old is expected to join the Spanish club as a free agent.

Alexander-Arnold's contract with Liverpool expires on 30 June but the Club World Cup begins 16 days earlier.
