Strange the number of penalties Liverpool are awarded compared to other teams .

they get fouled more often than most teams because of them being so good and the other teams have to handle the ball so often against them

They don't always get penalties as you can see from the  video.        Jordan Pickford wasn't even booked but he  should have been sent To HM Walton for that challenge, no wonder the Ref went to Specsavers after the match

                                        Man Utd  1   Arsenal  1

Man Utd did well to hold second placed Arsenal to a draw.       The Utd fans demonstrated against the owners of the club before the game but will it make any difference?

'Some Man Utd players not good enough & overpaid'
That's pretty obvious and anyone can see that but when the statement comes from a co-owner then it is sad to see the demise of a once great club.
There's a lot for Sir Jim Ratcliffe to sort out at Old Trafford

                                                             Liverpool 0-1 PSG (agg 1-1, 1-4 pens)                    :(
'Tough night for Liverpool - but PSG will threaten every opponent'
This was a tough night in all respects for Liverpool, who will certainly question the luck of the Champions League draw after topping the new format's table with ease only to draw a PSG side who can now be considered potential winners, such is their quality.

       :'(                                                   Liverpool FC  1   Newcastle Utd  2

Newcastle United secured their first domestic trophy for 70 years - and ended a wait for a major prize stretching back to 1969 - with a deserved Carabao Cup final win over Liverpool at Wembley.

The Toon Army were sent into ecstasy as goals either side of half-time by Dan Burn and Alexander Isak put them on course for a triumph that will lead to legendary status on Tyneside for manager Eddie Howe and his players.
Newcastle are a strong physical side and played better than Liverpool from the start.    The best team on the day won

Players have 'turned the whole place around'
,
Everton manager David Moyes says the players should be the ones who are praised for turning the club around since his appointment as manager.

"It [the stats] says that the club and certainly the team are on a better trajectory than we were before. We've started really well. The players have done a brilliant job.

"There is a lot that can be said about a new manager coming in and I know it is our job to get them playing, but I have to say that the players have picked themselves right up, they have turned the whole place around - the crowd and the support - and they have gone on a run, which has been really good.

"Actually, we were a bit disappointed with a couple of the draws in there, that we didn't get victories.

"There might have been a couple of draws in there which we could have been a bit lucky with but, overall, I think the players have got everything they have deserved.

"They have got the results and we want to keep it going but on a personal note, I hope it's not tomorrow        ;D

Liverpool FC    v  Everton     tomorrow at 8.00 pm

I'm pleased that you and your wife enjoyed the experience at Everton's new ground and I hope that it is a good omen for the Toffees and that they do well, apart from tomorrow night though   ;D

'The gulf has never been bigger' - can Moyes end his Anfield misery?

For David Moyes, Anfield has become the stuff of nightmares.

Twenty one matches managed there, no wins, 14 defeats and 36 goals conceded - and the Everton boss isn't expecting life to get any easier when the Toffees visit runaway league leaders Liverpool in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Could tonight be the night to end Moyes' misery?         The Llandudno branch of the Everton Supporters club hope so and they will all be out in force all over the UK  awaiting the result ,  that's Norman08 in Llandudno and Mull up there in Scotland

                                      Liverpool  FC 1    Everton  0

Liverpool claimed bragging rights on Merseyside with victory over rivals Everton and edged closer to lifting the Premier League title.

Arne Slot's men require only 13 points from a possible 24 available to guarantee a deserved and record-equalling 20th top-flight triumph.

The Red were being frustrated by Everton's backline sitting deep, but claimed the three points courtesy of a moment of magic from Diogo Jota.
