The reason strange pipes are poking up from beautiful North Wales beach
They're part of a practice that can border on an obsession

Seaside residents have been left puzzled by the appearance of plastic pipes embedded in a popular beach. The curious looking array was installed on Llandudno’s West Shore pointing out across the Conwy Estuary towards Mynydd y Dref and Penmaenbach headland.

An online photo of the assemblage prompted plenty of head-scratching and a few wild guesses. The pipes were arranged in the sand next a rock groyne on a beach sometimes described as Llandudno’s “hidden gem”.

Parking fine blitz as Llandudno beachgoers flout rules and urged to use 'common sense'
A councillor said more signage is needed but also added 'it is not a very clever place to park'

A sunny afternoon on Llandudno’s picturesque West Shore became an expensive day out for some beach-goers over the weekend. A long line of cars had parking tickets stuck to their windscreens by a Conwy County Council traffic warden.

They were parked on a single yellow line at a spot on Abbey Road near the Great Orme’s Marine Drive. Most were also partly blocking the pavement on the popular route for walkers and cyclists.
It's not before time either and while they are at it they should also stop the double parking in Penrhyn Road  Colwyn Bay

'Too greedy' council slammed for imposing more parking restrictions around Llandudno
They are a 'serious detriment' to the resort, a Tory MS says

I wonder what the Tory MS has to say about building so many apartments in the town without parking spaces for each home owner?

Evidently the police have got him.  Seems the idiot has been speeding all over.   Take his license away and crush the car.

People are making the same point after multiple cars were slapped with parking fines near a beach
Several drivers returned to their cars in dismay after getting a yellow penalty charge notice stuck to their windscreen at Llandudno's West Shore over the weekend - but WalesOnline readers have little sympathy

That should have happened a long time ago
