Had Sunday Lunch at Bodysgallen Hall yesterday, excellent food, superb service in a beautiful setting.

Absolutely delightful.

yes, Ruthin. The Antiques Centre is the Old Picture House on Well Street. A recent American Blog described Ruthin as "Pastoral Funky" which is a pretty good description, with lots of interests catered for in music, arts, crafts etc running alongside  the more traditional chapel, church, schools and sports  based communities. Some decent pubs and great restaurants.
I was interested to see how the arrival of Costa Costa a year or so ago would affect the smaller cafes in Ruthin. Places like Siop Nain and Chatwins still seem to be thriving though, which is good.

Ok, yes that is a good one, I'm always amazed that there is not an antiques centre (with lots of dealers in one unit) in the 3 towns area?

A couple of cafés have closed down, including the Craft Centre, but have heard there have been a few applications to re open it, Crown House has also closed , I'm pretty sure that this is council owned as well

Last time I was in the London it was rammed (thought that was a Saturday night before Christmas).

I wonder if it struggled for trade through the week.

Incredibly slowly the refurbishing and rebuilding of the Tal-y-Cafn hotel / restaurant is proceeding. It's been going for about two years, now.  Should be very nice when it's eventually finished, though.

I went past the other day and it looked no different from the previous time (several months earlier) I had gone past!
