Does that mean that all 16 ounce steaks are now only 8 ounce?   Or does it refer to the degree of putrefaction?     Z**

Now that the Albion in Conwy has proved that a decent, clean pub serving good beer (and no food) can be a roaring success, maybe the other licensees in Conwy will realise that there is no shortage of customers, it's just that their pubs are smelly, dirty and they cannot keep a decent pint of beer.

The ownership of the Cambridge Restaurant appears to have changed hands.

It is now called the Cambridge Mostyn and has had a facelift.

For those not quite sure where it is situated then it is across the road from Barclays Bank.

The Albion?  When I went in on to occasions I thought it was crap to be honest.

Brighty lit, boring and soul less.  I prefer the Liverpool Arms on the quayside, a great atmosphere.
However, my Father in law liked The Albion as it had weird and wonderful real-ales which he likes.
To me, it was like being sat in my Grandma's back room in 1972.

Last week we had lunch at The Tea Station Cafe  Deganwy
Directly across from the car park

Excellent food and drinks; reasonable price too
The old pay and display car park is now free; the pay machine is rusted over

Fester, well done, that's answered one question.

I wondered who it was who likes smelly pubs with dirty toilets and sour beer.

Property News - Colliers International to sell Fat Cat Bar chain

19.04.2013
Fat Cat Café Bars has instructed Colliers International to dispose of six city and town centre bars around the country.

The venues are located in Nottingham, Leicester, Derby, Bow (East London), Bangor and Frodsham in Cheshire and includes one freehold and four free-of-tie leasehold properties.

The Derby-based pub company, led by Matt Saunders, is currently trading ten units within the Fat Cat Café Bars brand, including eight high street bars and two gastropubs.

Ross Kirton, Director of Colliers commented “The Fat Cat brand has been established since the early 1990s and the sale offers the opportunity for either a roll out of the brand or possibly conversion to other mid-market food and drink concepts.”

Mostyn Estates won't permit that usage, I believe? That's what the estate agent told me.
