Publishers Book Clearance have started an End of Lease sale. Does this mean that someone else has taken a proper lease on that shop? 8)

Thorntons in the Victoria Centre will be closing.

interestingly, most of these shops I've never set foot in, now it seem that I was not the only one!  without a doubt the high street and possibly retail parks will never be the same again. For many years I have hunted the best prices, bargains on the internet etc,car boot sales (the best form of recycling!) now everyone is doing it!

Never set foot in one in my life, I always thought it was vastly overpriced, I'm happy with Cadburys and I like the Asda dark chocolate bars at £1 each!

Jane Norman sells lovely clothes -  if you are size 6-10 and loaded. Their target customer was 16-25 years according to the BBC !

Thorntons will "only" be closing those 120 shops which are "underperforming so will ours go?

I'll wait until Books etc. do their carrier bag full of books for £5 offer.  Got some good ones when they left Woolies.  Bet they move to AN Other empty shop in the town.

We've never heard of Jane Norman until now, when they announced the closing down, ironic really!

Was that the one which was a fruit shop, then a hairdresser, then a fruit shop again?
