Went to Conwy this morning and had a lovely lunch at Amelies Cafe Restaurant on the High Street. It's good enough for me to want to go back and try it again.

Been there several times, it really is very good. Shame it's a little bit hidden away on the first floor, many people seem to miss it.

We had lunch in Time Cafe Bar, Conwy last week. Not bad at all.

That Shisha place was open last night, but it's a pretty embarrassing effort really.

They have opened the doors, put a small Egyptian looking rug hanging on the wall, and there was no one in.

Well, why would anyone go in?  There is no bar, no food or alcohol for sale.... and no signage telling anyone what the place offers, what you can be or any prices.

Went past 3 times, and just saw the owner outside looking panicky on her mobile phone.

Doomed I'm afraid.

Where is it Fester?

Opposite Fountains Bar in Upper Mostyn St.
It's what was Pars Restaurant 2 years ago, and was Mr B's restaurant last year.

I looked at the St Davids Property website the other day and saw that the Cafe Culture/St Georges Plaice building & businesses were up for sale at £1.7m. I looked again yesterday, and the listing had disappeared...how odd?

Slightly out of our area, but I see that 'Oinkys' diner at the Llanddulas Services is up for sale again. Originally a Happy Eater/Little Chef, it's always struggled due to the fact  that its hidden from the A55 to a large degree.

Thanks, wrex.

Do you know whether or not the former bakery was bought with public funds to turn it into a youth club?
