IT is the end of an era for policing in Conwy.
After 162 years of being an operational police building, Conwy Police Station has closed its doors.
Located in Lancaster Square in Conwy, this iconic Grade 2 listed building was built in the 1860s and has been a police station ever since.
For more than a decade, the station has been occupied by Conwy Neighbourhood Policing Team, consisting of up to seven officers.
But, due to the size, age and work required on the building, the difficult decision has been made to sell the building and re-locate the team to Rose Hill Street.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team has re-located to the Mauriau Building, above the Tourist Information Centre on Rose Hill Street, just a few minutes’ walk down the road. ref pioneer
