Conwy chapel conversion 'would contribute to chronic housing supply shortage'
The chapel and former schoolroom could be converted into a house if plans are approved

A former Conwy chapel could be converted into a new home – if planning consent is granted. Bob and Velda Curry have applied to Conwy Council's planning department, seeking planning permission to convert Carmel Welsh Presbyterian Church on Chapel Street, Conwy.

The couple want to convert the existing chapel and former schoolroom to a house, together with landscaping, parking, and access. A planning statement reads: “The proposed development plans to maintain and restore the chapel in a sustainable way to complement the existing building and the current needs of residential accommodation.

I came across this chap during lockdown, and have followed since then, he gets around nice to see him in this area.......

A YOUTUBER with more than six million subscribers immersed himself in Welsh culture when he made a two-day visit to Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.

Arieh Smith, better known as Xiaomanyc, can speak dozens of languages, and had started to learn Welsh from an Argentinian online.

In the video, uploaded to his YouTube channel in late March, Arieh is shown the sights of North Wales by tour guide John Pritchard, from Celticos, where he makes an impressive effort at speaking Welsh - and gets a lot of free food and drinks.
