English League Cup  Semi Final                            Liverpool FC  4     Spurs  0

I enjoyed watching the game last night, it was entertaining too but perhaps not if you were a Spurs fan.     Spurs played ok at times but their defensive formation was poor and Liverpool exploited it.

The Treble to the periphery - what's going on with Jack Grealish?
He's a really exciting player to watch so what has gone so wrong for him now, could it be his partying lifestyle perhaps?        Whatever is the reason it's a shame because the game needs creative players like him

Friday's  FA Cup 4th round              Man Utd 2  Leicester  1

I don't know about Red Devils, Utd were Lucky Devils after their win last night.     Even the Utd Manager said that McGuire's goal was offside

FA Cup 4th round            Plymouth 1    Liverpool FC 0

I only watched the last 10 minutes of the game as I had been out for Sunday Lunch but good luck to Plymouth in the next round.    The Plymouth goalkeep made a number of important saves and must be the man of the match.                :o        :(

Man of the match was a defender named Kotic who made 17 clearances and was everywhere.  Plymouth guys played really well but Liverpool were rubbish.

Thanks DVT for that info, as I said I only saw the last 10 minutes of the game as I had been  out for Sunday dinner.
I finished off a lovely meal with Strawberry Cheesecake but I've a feeling that I'll have to eat a lot of Humble Pie when I see my brother on Thursday.      :(
But well done all of Plymouth's players and I'm sure that there will be a lot of sore heads on Plymouth Hoe tomorrow after the celebrations

If Plymouth can beat Liverpool then any team can. even Everton.     Mind you the Liverpool manager will be fielding a different team out on Wednesday.

It will be good for you if the Toffees get the 3 points as it will help a lot with your annual relegation battles.

                             Everton 2   Liverpool FC   2

James Tarkowski's dramatic last-gasp equaliser gave Everton a deserved point in a stormy conclusion to the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.

Liverpool looked to be heading nine points clear at the top of the Premier League as a fiery encounter entered its final seconds, until Tarkowski lashed home a leveller that was only awarded after video assistant referee (VAR) checks for offside and a foul

That's a good away win for Liverpool and 3 valuable points but there is a long way to go in the league and anything can happen

Eight-second goalkeeper rule - what happens next?

From this summer onwards, goalkeepers will be allowed eight seconds from catching the ball to releasing it, in the latest attempt to cut down on time-wasting.

UEFA Champions League        Paris SG  0  Liverpool FC  1

It was the ultimate smash and grab.

Liverpool were on the ropes for 87 minutes against Paris St-Germain at the Parc des Princes, but Harvey Elliott struck 46 seconds after coming on as a substitute to secure a 1-0 first-leg advantage for the Reds in their last-16 tie.

The hosts could, and should, have been out of sight as they peppered the Liverpool goal throughout - having 27 attempts compared to just two for the visitors.

                                       Liverpool FC   3   Southampton  1

Mohamed Salah scored two penalties as Liverpool came from behind to beat rock-bottom Southampton for the second time this season and move 16 points clear at the top of the Premier League.

The Reds were miles below their best after their energy-draining late win at Paris St-Germain on Wednesday - but all that matters at this stage of the season is results.
