Just wondering....Why is there a Maidmarion and a Midmarion on the membership roster?
One is a spelling error!

It took me quite a while before I found this header ''Suggestions'', (it is too well hidden) and realised there was some discussion, about the ''less than clean jokes''.most of which I had posted.
So guys, and gals, jusrt for the record, I contacted Ian,immediately I realsied, and I promised him, there would be no more from me.
If in future, any of you members, have a gripe, why not contact the member directly, by PM?
Just my two pence worth, for this excellent forum. - and I do love Llandudno!..

The Forum has two very knowledgeable Moderators and I suppose everyone was relying on their expertise with the Blue pencil.
Other comments were in reply to a request from the Moderators as to what were the feeling of the populous.
These were fair and a reflection of peoples opinions and concerns.
The course chosen was correct and it is not the job of Members to directly criricise the actions of other Members.   That's why we have Moderators to keep us all in check!

In the main I agree with Yorkie.   As a generalisation, I think it's better to make comments and complaints to us, rather than directly to another member, because what we type isn't always what we mean to say, or how we mean to say it, and misunderstandings can arise very easily.   Objectivity also plays a part, and Dave and I try to be as disinterested as we can where disputes are concerned.

I wanted to post some pics of last nights Motorhead gig,  but each one is 2.5mb in size ... the limit on here is 600kb,  is there anything (simple) I can do to change my pictures file size?

When I pressed 'compress picture into a zip file' ...this sounded logical and hopeful,  but the file size of that is still 2.4mb for some reason...

You could try something like this:

http://www.drpic.com/

Download your pic.

Click 'resize' (75%, 50% or 25%)

Then save it as a jpg.

Your original stays the same, and you end up with a re-sized duplicate, fresh and ready to be posted in the.... $3towns$

What Trojan said.  :D

Most of the photos I post on here are around 100k in size, they don't need to be any larger to get a decent quality image.

I usually just open a pic in "paint" and re-size it or save it with a file extesion that takes up less space. Very easy and very quick.

How do I "quote" just a segment of smeone's post that I want to comment on? I've seen it done a few times but I can't figure it out!

Highlight the segment - then copy using CTRL C - paste into new location using CTRL V.

CTRL C puts it onto the Clipboard - CTRL V lifts it from the clipboard.    $uk

I was chatting to one of my neighbours this morning and mentioned one of the items that I had read on this forum. He told me that he doesn't follow the forum anymore because he got fed up with opening it up to see the latest comment in the news sections and constantly finding the update was an unnecessary remark or even just a laughing icon.
Perhaps this may explain the recent lack of interest?
