There should be two new bands on display this year, the royal lancashire fusiliers on the Saturday and the liverpool pipe and drum band on the Sunday and Monday.

I would not even attempt to exceed your own powers in this respect and will be pleased to leave you in charge of the firing, stoking and total steam generation - I would however suggest that you have your boiler certified prior to lighting the fire!   After, of course, checking that you are allowed to play with matches!   ZXZ

Sorry i made a mistake the lancashire fisiliers will be in the parade and playing in the Arena on the Sunday and not the saturday, there are at least 60 in the band and will look impressive leading the parade, remember this year it will be leaving from the Albert hotel at 1pm ZXZ

Programmes are out and available in the tourist office for £1 ,we have had to bring the price down due to the times which is not a good reflection on the event,i personally think there is not enought people who want the event to carry on,it does bring people in but we cannot change anything without the help of the people who benefit,i really think its hard to explain to the tourist trade that we are doing it for them and the town and not ourselves, the responsibility is enourmous and the support is dyeing, until we call it a day, people will not give us a hand.

Well Wrex, I don't benefit from it financially, but I love it nonetheless.

As usual, I have several members of the Fester clan booked in for the Extravaganza weekend, they all spend like sailors on shore leave, (especially my Mum) ... and the hotels, charities and stalls will all benefit immensely.
