I've just been looking at the West Shore web cam and it seems to have a mind of its own and looks ahead and also to the Deganwy and Conwy area.
From what I can see the rough car park is heaving with vehicles and loads of people out enjoying the hot weather.

I looked this morning and there seemed to be plenty of people around. We have kept in the garden, out of the way of the hoards!

We are so on the same wavelength Nem, that's exactly what we did too.

Me too,  we are so lucky to be living in this beautiful area that we can go there anytime.    I'm quite happy pottering about in the garden until the crowds have gone home.

I suppose that many people are taking advantage of the spell of good weather that we have been having.     It's understandable after such a wet May

MULTIPLE people were 'at risk' of being cut off by the tide at West Shore sandbanks.

Llandudno Coastguard were tasked at about 6pm on July 21 along with Conwy Lifeboat.
Arriving on scene, most people had made their way off but four people remained on the banks.

Conwy Lifeboat approached the group and advised them to return to shore. They then repositioned to the channel to ensure their safe crossing.

A spokesperson from Llandudno Coastguard said: "The group made their way to the channel where they quickly realised they were totally cut off from the shore.

"Conwy Lifeboat escorted them back to the beach where we met them and gave safety advice.

"This was the 115th call of this exceptionally busy year for us, and, so far, we have rescued hundreds of people off the sandbanks.

"The sandbanks at West Shore are dangerous, the tide travels at a steady walking pace and can quickly cut you off from the shore.
"If visiting West Shore, check the tide times and don't venture onto the sandbanks or you risk becoming stranded.

"If you do find yourself in difficulty, make your way to a life-raft situated at the highest points of the banks, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard and await rescue.

"Do not attempt to swim across the channel. It will overpower even the strongest of swimmers."                    ref pioneer

Thought I would share this on Drowning Prevention Day                                    ref FB  "Llandudno need to Know"
Harry Saville - Mayor of Llandudno, County Councillor for Gogarth.

The sandbanks off West Shore can be treacherous and it’s easy for people who aren’t familiar with them to be cut off by an incoming tide.  This summer has seen two new initiatives to help beachgoers to stay safe.
Earlier this year Conwy County Borough Council placed two, large, floating signs on the sand banks to warn people about the risks.  The floating signs can double as life rafts when the tide comes in, complementing the life rafts already sited in the Conwy estuary.  Within the last couple of weeks the National Coastwatch Institution has introduced big, red warning flags to remind people about the incoming tide.
Two helpful initiatives that will hopefully make the beach safer for everyone.
