I'm dreaming now but imagine eating their delicious fish dishes in a second floor restaurant with an outdoor terrace in a rebuilt Pier Pavilion.

Hollins, I'm afraid that dream will have to wait.... we will never see that in our life time, or even in the next generation's life time.

I love the food there too, just wish they could relocate to different premises.

I notice that Dylan's is opening in May in that super Art Deco style building on Criccieth promenade. I bet that will be really popular.
Thats a fabulous idea.  $good$

As we all know, Dylans were asked to open in Conwy, then told to go away after spending thousands on preparing plans.  &shake&

I see in the news today that Costa Coffee are opening 569 new coffee shops over the next few years. I wonder if another Llandudno outlet is on the cards, given how popular it is? Maybe another branch at the top end of town?

I was surprised one didn't open in the refurbished railway station building to be honest.

That's not a bad idea, although I did have a look around when the work was finished and its not that big a space inside.

It would be a good concession to have beneath The Clarence Travelodge.

As we all know, Dylans were asked to open in Conwy, then told to go away after spending thousands on preparing plans.  &shake&

There is an interview with the owner of Dylan's in the Daily Post saying they have not given up on the Conwy branch.

"Plans to expand in the future

Dylan’s have previously stated they would like up to five North Wales restaurants and say they have not given up on Conwy.

A previous bid for a quayside restaurant was rejected by the council after a sudden U-turn.

David said: “We will ensure that Criccieth is bedded in over the next year or so but we will then start to look along the coast to the east of Anglesey.

“We have not given up on Conwy. This was rejected last time but I would like to think people may see what we are doing in Criccieth and reconsider.

“If it is not Conwy we will look elsewhere.”

He added: “In Menai Bridge we have 80 staff and hope over time to have the same in Criccieth so we could become a significant employer in this area.”

King's Head in Llandudno last night for entertainment quiz. Fiendishly difficult. Name of Columbo's dog anyone?  ££$
After all what is time, a mere tyranny.

A lot of one if you ask me--- you could have said that it was a Basset Hound though !

Apparently the dog was also called Fang in one episode according to Google but that's me cheating.    :-[
Are there any rules on Quizes nowadays to prevent any such cheating?
With the internet and mobile phones you can find out most of the answers and even years ago, before mobile phones came in I can remember people going out of the room on some pretence and then phoning someone up for the answer.
I can't see any satisfaction being gained from doing that.
