Well, all is well with the world, Characters is back as No1 in Llandudno on tripadvisor.

And Les & Rita's Fish Bar is No 1 in Rhyl  ;D.

I hear that the Hotel Inspector, Alex Polizzi, will be in Llandudno filming this week and will be dining at Momma Rosas in Craig Y Don.

If Alex Polizzi is filming an episode of The Hotel Inspector in Llandudno this week then at least we've got nice weather which will reflect well on the town when the show gets aired  :'(.

I don't think she does that programme any more but is doing something for the BBC called 'The Fixer'.

"Alex Polizzi sets out to wage a one woman campaign to save Britain's family businesses."

Perhaps she's been called in to sort out the Staffordshire Oatcake shop?

It seems she's doing a new series of The Hotel Inspector - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/hotels/ukhotels/10253026/Alex-Polizzi-on-Blackpool-babies-and-bugbears.html

The most surprising thing about that article is that until last month she'd never been to Liverpool. I'd have assumed she'd have been everywhere in the course of her business.

It does not bear close inspection.

I've just had a glance at the reviews of the Alexandra on TripAdvisor.  They're a bit mixed, not all bad, but what is entertaining is reading the owners responses.  Clearly not someone who takes criticism too kindly  :o.  This has all the makings of an entertaining episode of the Hotel Inspector.

On the subject of the Alex, has anyone else noticed the building has been absolutely covered in scaffolding for several months but there never seems to be anyone ever working on it?

Wonderful!  And I thought Basil Fawlty was only a fictional character.

I get the impression that the Owner thinks he is building some kind of character through his responses, that he believes will actually encourage more people to visit his hotel. A bit like 'The Hotel' documentary, set at the Grosvenor in Torquay.

My thoughts too! Although I must confess I was much the same when we had a small B&B near Porthmadog! Most people were great, biggest pains in the butt were the French, never stopped moaning! Germans on the other hand were great! We only did it for about a year, I could stand no more after that!  :rage:
