Anyone tried this Cafe ?

From classic comfort food to exciting Asian flavours, Oriel Café always serves up a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds – it’s the perfect pit stop in the heart of busy Llandudno.

Located on the first floor of the gallery in Vaughan St, just a short distance from the train station, high street and several retail parks, for the last three years the café has been in the very capable hands of 30 year old Murod Samadov (aka M) and his sister Marjana, both highly experienced in the catering industry.

Thanks to hard work and determination, the duo have created a stylish 21st century venue within an historic Grade ll listed Edwardian building originally built in 1901- a harmonious blend of old and new.

Today the café is going from strength to strength, attracting - mainly by word of mouth, customers of all ages and backgrounds, including art lovers visiting Mostyn.

A lift near the gallery entrance up to the first floor makes the place fully accessible to people with mobility problems .and there’s plenty of room for wheelchairs and buggies............. https://www.dailypost.co.uk/whats-on/food-drink-news/oriel-cafe-mostyn-llandudno-review-30700596?IYA-reg=49560bcd-5a9c-47f0-8fc5-ba2e71710589

Thanks for that Norman,   I'll have to go there again asap.       It was one of my favourite places to go to prior to Lockdown so I'll have to start going out  more often

It's not local and is in Bangor on the Pier.     It's quite unique and has had some good reports so it's well worth the walk to the end of the Pier

Probably financed by another Welsh government grant like all the others, never understand why private companies get these grants, without having to pay them back, especially those who go bankrupt, wasting tax payers money.

A community café in Conwy is proving a hit with foodies.

Café Dai, based at the redeveloped Bryn Euryn Nursery in Mochdre, opened in August 2024 and is run jointly by Conwy County Borough Council and charity Hft, which supports adults with learning disabilities.

The café serves as a training ground for Hft 'interns', providing them with valuable experience and qualifications to help them enter the workforce.................read more  https://www.northwalespioneer.co.uk/news/24899513.conwy-meet-team-dog-friendly-community-cafe/

A PUB in Colwyn Bay will reopen today (February 6) following an extensive refurb and with new management at the helm.

The Park Hotel, on Abergele Road, is hosting a grand reopening party from 5pm to welcome back patrons having shut on January 5.

The pub is now under the management of general manager David Jones and assistant manager Ryan John Hodgson, who worked in nightclubs in Liverpool for the last 11 years.

The duo have already overseen an extensive makeover of the establishment, in which “no stone has been left unturned”.

Craig-y-Don next to Llandudno which is a village with a burgeoning reputation for its cafes and restaurants. One of them is Benjamin Lee artisan bakery which is located between a vape shop and a travel agents.

I'd never visited this patisserie-cum-cafe so decided to give it a try. First of all the facade looks intriguing. Rectangular window frames seem to conjure up images of little independent gastro shops in say, London or Paris, a la Juliette Binoche's character's place in the movie Chocolat with Johnny Depp..................

THE FORMER site of a boutique clothing store in Rhos-on-Sea will be converted into a café restaurant, after plans were approved.

The old Kit 'n' Heels site, on Penrhyn Avenue, has had its premises licence changed to allow the sale and consumption of food and drink.

Plans were submitted in December 2024 by Colwyn Bay-based wealth management company Spillane & Co.

Spillane & Co.’s plans for the site will see the overhaul of the ground floor and some of the basement level, for the sale of hot and cold food “on and off the premises”.............. https://www.northwalespioneer.co.uk/news/24953915.cafe-restaurant-plans-rhos-on-sea-given-green-light/
