Restaurant bosses are uniting in a campaign to slash the number of no-shows as the hospitality sector faces its most challenging year in a generation.
Restaurants in Wales are slowly emerging from lockdown, with outdoor hospitality opening earlier this month and indoors due to open on August 3.
They now face a critical few months as they try to claw back losses from a five-month closure.
This has seen a No More No-Shows campaign start to tackle the issue of diners not showing up to bookings and not even bothering to cancel.
There is particular anger at the small minority who book multiple sites and then decide on the evening where to go.
Award-winning chef Jimmy Williams from Signatures restaurant, Conwy, urged people to support North Wales restaurants.
He said: “If you’ve already pre-booked with one, make sure you show up or at least notify the restaurant in advance if you’re to be absent.
