Will they consider refunding the fines for those who were caught at speeds between 20 and 30 ?

That's an interesting point DVT and if the Council have not followed the law to the letter then someone will find a technical error.
As you have said it was a waste of time and money and should have been thought out properly before being implemented./

I remember years ago the council or Police moved the speeding signs on the road going from Bangor to Llandegai and as a result the following day dozens of motorists, including a friend of mine got fined.       They admitted their mistake and the money was refunded.     Would CCBC ever make a mistake :-\

Drivers face weeks of frustration with roadworks on A5 and A470 from Monday
One scheme risks gridlock in Llanrwst, the other is set to last two months

Traffic Wales warned the exact schedule will depend on the scheme’s progress. The trunk road management body said some works were timed for when “traffic flows are historically lower to minimise disruption”

It's 15 years ago since the topic of young newly qualified drivers was first discussed. Since that time nothing has changed including accidents of multiple occupancy cars killing several, if not all,   of the occupants. I think only last week there was a report of one where 4 out of 5 were killed when the car left the road and hit a tree. 'Fortunately' most of these types of accidents don't tend to involve other vehicles but still, why does the government refuse to do something about it. Kids have too be saved from themselves sometimes.

Major North Wales road has 'collapsed' with closure in place
Traffic Wales shut the road for 'emergency works'
A major North Wales road has reportedly "collapsed" - with a closure in place. This afternoon Traffic Wales announced there was a closure on the A5, between Betws-y-Coed and Pentrefoelas.

They said this was due to emergency works on the route. Traffic bosses asked people to "avoid the area".ize]

The new Highway Code rule drivers may still not know
Guilty motorists could get between
three and nine penalty points or even a £2500 FINE
One of the key messages to motorists and cyclists is that when pedestrians are crossing or waiting to cross at a junction, other traffic should always give way.
As a regular dog walker I haven't seen that happening many times.      Motorists don't seem to use their indicators any more  and it's difficult for pedestrians to know if they are turning or not.    I've crossed over a road junction a few times and nearly been hit by a driver who hasn't indicated
Apart fron that who is going to enforce this rule?      You rarely see a Policeman on the beat and the Traffic Police are too busy doing other work

New link between A55 and A470 gets verdict from planning officers
The proposal is backed by millions of pounds of UK Government funding
Plans to build bridges and a pathway to link the A470 with a junction of the A55 have had a verdict from planning officers. Conwy council received millions of pounds in Levelling-Up cash from the last UK Government to improve cycling and walking routes in the Conwy Valley.
