Vets should be made to publish prices, watchdog says

Perhaps not a scam but certainly a rip off  by the Vets.       I've often left the Vets feeling like I've been mugged.       Over £8.00 for about 12 painkillers for my dog which we found out were Paracetamol tablets.        Other items I could buy online for a third of the price the Vets charged

I've just had an automated phone call  supposedly from my bank.     The female voice said that someone was hacking in to my bank account and that there were two transactions today that I  don't normally use
It wasn't even a clever scam so I just put the phone down

I had another one of these last week, but the big giveaway was the number came up as emanating from Germany!

I once had a phone call from a man with a strong Asian accent.     He said that he was from the fraud section of my bank and there were a number of suspicious  deductions from my bank account.    He went on to say that " I'm not going to ask you for any details of your account" and at that stage I interrupted him and said that's good because I'm not going to speak to you and will hang up
He then told me to phone the number on my card and then ask for the fraud squad which I later did.       After a series of security checks  I found out that my account had been hacked 5 times and in fairness to my bank all the money stolen from the account was refunded to me
You can never be too careful with these matters
