Quiggs you are right,i think the hoteliers made sure that if you came to Llandudno you either stay out of town and visit by car or you stay in one of their hotels and of course you can;t blame them for that, but if a camper family is touring Wales its a shame we kick them out of town,i would supply a one night only policy in one of our car parks.

I 5hought the ide was to encourage visitors. When my son went to France with his Camper Van, every town had designated parking spaces by the local shops and farmers offered free spaces with the proviso that you purchase some of thir products?

The trouble with that argument Quiggs is that although they park their Camper Vans right outside our business they are not buying our services i.e. bedspaces and it has the knock on effect of making our paying guests very resentful.

The By-Laws is no overnight Camper Van Parking on the Prom. It should be respected and enforced.

Go out in the middle of the night to wake them up, that should make them move!

When I've been driving down the promenade during the daytime it can be difficult and dangerous sometimes passing these camper vans as the promenade is quite narrow in places and the vans are wider than the normal vehicles parked there.
If there is a by law then it should be respected and enforced but who does the enforcing?
Those by laws should also apply to the travelling community but why is it so difficult to evict them from privately owned sites?

Lets wake all the tourists up in town and drive them OUT.

Slight amendment to your post Wrex; Lets throw the freeloading tourist and their Campervans out and it's C.C.B.C. who should be enforcing the bylaws including ticketing vehicles that park outside the defined lines of the parking area.

Hugo is quite right, driving past them down a crowded promenade can be a nightmare. I just supprised there aren't more accidents.

We had campervans many years ago, never once did we stay in them overnight anywhere other than proper campsites, these people are just being tight and inconsiderate to others. It seems wrong that paying guests staying in a hotel have trouble parking outside the hotel due to freeloading campervans parked there!
