Are there notes on these wooden figures explaining what hey represent etc.?  I only ask because some of the comments regarding the Mad Hatter on the prom. were hilarious the other day.  Obviously not everyone has read Alice In Wonderland.  One group decided that he must commemorate a local undertaker because he is wearing a top hat!   Aaaagh.

No-- no notes, no leaflets ---and Tweedledum and Tweedledee, along with the Cheshire Cat languishing in the council yard. The marble white rabbit is still under debate and what has happened to the trail of rabbit footprints? Sorry, but I find the Facebook page not a bit of use for tourists. They want information to hand-- not the internet.

Isn't it about time for Llandudno to give up this supposed association with Lewis Carroll and pass the honour on to Daresbury that DOES have a positive connection?

Surely there is something that Llandudno can use as a claim to fame, and that we and the Tourists could get excited about!

Answers on the back of a postage stamp, please.    ;D

I'll second that!  A great suggestion.... I would also propose Rides, Attractions, Sideshows, and Steam Engines.
I wonder if it will ever catch on?

I think we need something that will attract and entertain the whole year through.   So why not a TWELVE MONTH VICTORIAN EXTRAVAGANZA ?   Just imagine how crowded the Town would be with people thronging the Streets, nowhere to park, never ending noise, tons of litter, pickpockets and shoplifters galore -  cummon folks - LETS GO FOR IT !

They can also be a useful source of information, which is what I established last Monday when I enquired where the donkeys where?

I think you will find that one attendant is the one designated to take the money and issue tickets (to ensure an accurate audit trail) for the deck chair hire, and also to deal with the public regarding compliance with the Local By-laws.
The second attendant is probably the Promenade Inspector who has the by-law enforcement duties along the length of the prom, regarding dogs, cycling, litter etc.

Occasionally they can be found chatting together about their duties and how they can give a better service to the locals and the tourists!
 ;)

Not exactly, norman08, but the good news is the donkeys were definitely there yesterday.
