This morning I thought I'll be kind to the wife and disappear for a couple of hours.
So off I went to the the library in Mostyn street and changed my books, that was about 25 minutes taken care of.
Next port of call must be the floral clock, very nice, mmmmm.
Onto the pier and a brisk walk to the end is just what the doctor ordered, nature calls as I neared the end and guess what, the toilets are closed due to "maintenance issues", whatever they are.
Never mind turn around and head back, I might give Fester the nod as I walk past, well I would if he was there at 10-00 am on a Thursday but he isn't.
The portaloos were still locked and the arcade was still locked.
Jump in the car and go home asap.
I was only out of the house for 70 minutes, I must walk slower next time.

I learnt from someone in the Parks Department that construction of the Floral Clock (or Watch) was paid for entirely by grants and that at least a couple of the people planting it up had taken time off work to do it in their own time.

if such is the case, maybe Judith will manage to get an acknowledgement in the Weekly News.   If plaudits are due then let them be delivered! :D

At 17.00. The cable cars have come to a sudden halt. They were running slowly for some time before, but now nothing is moving. Cannot see any passengers from here. Mike
I'm told that the Cable Car has not been in operation since this incident, anyone know more?

Tides coming up and we have less than 2000 sq. yds. of useable beach and right in the middle the poor old Donkeys are trying to ply their trade. Why on earth would you want to bring your children here?

Yes, Llandudno could offer more to tourists on rainy days.   (Pier Pavilion site being an obvious place for a facility)

BUT.....  I have to say that ALL seaside towns I have ever visited in Britain are very miserable places when its raining.  :( :(

I think folk come to Llandudno mainly in the summer months and mainly for fresh air and sunshine, both of which are sadly lacking during a heavy shower.
