If you haven't already visited I highly recommend a visit to Trinity Church to see the amazing display commemorating the D-day landings. Visually excellent but also very informative and well worth any waiting time, there was a queue on Sunday!

I went to the Beach Cafe on the West Shore today and the land to the south of the car park looks like a Travellors camp site.    Has anyone got an idea of what is going on there?

Images of multi-million pound flood defence work underway on Llandudno's North Shore
Work well underway to protect seaside resort after West Shore was bolstered

Work is now underway on major new flood defences in Llandudno. The work is being carried out beside the promenade road near the RNLI station and paddling pool.

They are set to be completed within six months - ending by Easter 2025.

Conwy Council has secured £5.2m from Welsh Government for North Shore and West Shore. Work on West Shore has also been carried out...........?

I saw this morning that several of the new shelters on the Prom by Venue Cymru have had a few of their windows shattered by someone throwing rocks at them. How sad to see.

A new unit opposite a Llandudno retail park should be open by Christmas. The land opposite Parc Llandudno had once hosted a health clinic.

This was closed by the health board and the building demolished - leaving a blot on the landscape. Plans were submitted in 2022 by Mostyn Estates to develop a car showroom on the site.

Permission was granted and work is now well underway on the new unit in a major investment by the North Wales Motor Company. This will host the Kia brand and the developers say they hope to open in December.

Hi everybody - I lost track of the will they won't they, but are the toilets by the paddling pool, and West shore, and happy valley still open? We're planning to come for the day on Sunday, finishing with the fireworks in the evening (it is the right date for the display isn't it?).  I was so upset when I read of all the upcoming toilet closures when news broke in the summer. Thank you for any replies :)

We last saw the fireworks in 2015 when they were set off from the pier - is this still the case or it it from down on the beach?
We were "just" a couple in 2015 whereas now we have our 8 year old to bring and he's excited to see fireworks, so i say watch from the prom but my other half wants to be in happy valley. Who's best (well, i'm best ahem, but who's right for the fireworks?!) Tbh i think our son will be happy just being there.

It is a trip hazard, why no notice ?

Will it hold the sand back ?

How much has this cost ?

And I think we have problems with the ferries up here, Seems the same idiots are running the show all over the UK.
