I was really looking forward to this, but there is no way I would pay £45 to see it (2 of us plus parking)

ME, when you read the Terms and Conditions for the Wales Rally GB there are also booking and processing fees to be added pushing the total cost to over £50.

I would not mind but in the past we never used to pay a penny to go onto the Orme to watch the Lombard RAC Rally.

A booking fee of £0.50 per ticket for tickets with a value of £1.00 and £1.70 per ticket for all other tickets will apply on credit and debit card transactions and also a processing fee of £5.25 for transactions requiring postage.

Bri,
I was there 30 years ago on the Orme watching the 'Proper' rally and I do not recall paying, so how they expect people to pay that much to see it now I don't know!

I took in the Orme stages in the early 80s and there was never a charge for spectators and the cars were extremely powerful at that time with Hannu Mikola winning everything in the Audi Quattro.

I parked in Craig y Don as the rally traffic created a few bottle necks the nearer you go to the Orme.....for £20.00 I would expect toilet facilities and park and ride on to the stage....so I wonder what does the charge cover?

£1bn boost for late summer sun.
Usual blurb about tourism, but for once Llandudno was mentioned and a pic of the people on the pier.

Good to see so many people watching the Goldwing rally. . . .just like a summer night . . . and even the smaller hotels and B and Bs seemed pretty full - not bad for the end of September.
However, I did see one seafront hotel 'closed for maintainance' . . . they must be feeling sick about missing out on the good weather

The Honda Goldwing procession was excellent, a lot of noise and colour.. and the streets were very busy with people watching it.

I also noticed that the bars and restaurants were inordinately busy for this time of year.

Top notch!  $good$ &well& (*) (*)

I agree but I did also notice that not every cafe in Mostyn Street stayed open past 6pm.   :o
