The city of York is a place well worth spending a lot of time in, a beautiful city.

Harrogate is a bit boring I always thought.

Probably about 17 years since I went to Harrogate, but we always enjoyed a day there. The crocus on the Stray in Spring are a sight to see.

We enjoyed walking through the Valley Gardens and some of the massive old Spa hotels like the Majestic were very impressive. Property was very expensive in the main parts of town, hard to get a decent house for less than £700,000, believe it or not!

Went for a weekend to the Bulkeley Hotel in Beaumaris (again). Lovely place to relax, with a leg stretching walk at Llanddwyn island to build up the appetite. Went for a curry at the Meghna Tandoori in Beaumaris one night, and dinner at the Brasserie at the Bull's Head Inn the other.  All very good. $good$

Good morning forum.
Room with a view after a 24 hour snowfall!

I'm envious of you waking up to such a beautiful view like that, keep the photos coming as they are always a pleasure to see.   Dubai one month,  Tenby then Switzerland, each one so different.   I was going to ask you how do you cope with all extremes of weather but I'm sure that you'll say "very nicely thanks"            $good$       ;D

No! On the day it snowed we went out for lunch going there partly on foot and by gondola and on the way back by bus which by the way was dead on time! Yesterday we went for a chilly walk by the river. Here are some photos.
Thanks Hugo for expressing an interest in them. It is a bit difficult to gauge the interest on here unlike facebook where you know a bit better from the amount of likes etc.
Is there any way of introducing something like a tick box on the forum to say you have liked it? I know sometimes I think that was a good read or photo but you don't always want make another post just to say you liked it.
On the other hand the poster may never know there was a good reaction if no one says anything.

In fact, Dave and I have been discussing exactly that sort of thing and we plan to introduce it  this week.

Thanks for that Mr T, much appreciated. Hopefully now with the new like button we will be able to tell more easily what things are of interest.
