Another finger numbing session on top of Pen Y Dinas with a wide angle lens and tripod produced a few decent shots. A 1 sec exposure at f/3.5 and ISO of 400:

This one makes Llandudno look like a Red Light District for some reason.

Great stuff.   Something showing up on the Llandudno bay intriges me. On top of the hill behind Craigside (not the Little Orme) there appears to be an illuminated pencil type structure sticking up. Its obviously high at that distance. With the benefit of the original, is this something there or, dare I say it, is it a fluke with the camera? The only thing I can think of around this position is the transmitter aerial at I think its called Moel y Parc. Its above Bodfari. Thats an awful long way away, and, of course, its not a single light, just warning lights to aircraft. This looks like a single light.  Mike

It's definitely a mast of some sort, are you sure it's not Moel Y Parc, Mike?

I blew up the image as far as possible, it's above Bodafon Fields when looking from Pen Y Dinas and it's a very large structure:

Thinking about it more, it appeared a year or so back and pink was the colour of the digital tv switch over campaign, so maybe it was something to do with that?

No, looking at it blown up, it is Moel y Parc, I was correct the first time.   Never change your mind.   That will teach me.
