And everyone's who's spreading the word :-)))

I also think the forum is proving its worth as the Craig y Don Policing topic is showing.

Certainly wasn't.  No idea how that's happened.

I seem to recall they were all in a thread called 'Test Posting', which I started after Nemesis said she had trouble posting her ad. Each ad is far better having its own thread, of course, but that is strange.

Just had a look - the topic had been moved to 'Games & Jokes'; it is now back in 'Classified Adverts'.  D)

Interesting.  Made a break for it, then?  :)

As the nights draw-in, and it starts getting colder, I think you may find more people on-line. Just wait for the next force-8 westerly with driving rain - the record may be broken yet again.  %0%

Hello moderators, I've got a bit  of an irratating problem with the forum. When I sign in I click the "stay signed in" box but it doesent take any notice. I have to sign in every time. Ive tried deleting the "hours" box but that doesent make any difference. Any ideas?  Mike  (Could it be Fester making it difficult for me?) LOL

Don't blame me for your Forum problems...!  I wouldn't know where to start...
In recent months you have had feuds with local youths,  unreliable garages, unruly sheep ...and now you turn the finger of suspicion towards me?

I reckon you should put it down to masonic influence ...   like I always do.

By the way ... Gogarth is still missing in action !

It's not the forum, Mike; it's your computer and browser. What browser / system are you using?

Just wondering...
You know there used to be a parameter of 5 personal messages per hour allowed?
I got kicked out a few times in the early weeks of the New Forum for reaching that limit...

Has it now been removed or upped considerably?  Because last night I was chatting to Quiggs, Pendragon and Scott for quite a while ... and never got the warning message.    Can I relax now?

It's now ten, Fester.

While we're on PMs , can I point out that they're not a secure form of communication - but then - what is?

When we take the database back-up, the PMs are there for us to see in plain sight.  We don't go looking for them but they're not encrypted, so we would see them if there was any sort of problem that we had to sort out.

Just to let you all know.

Thinking about it, we could install a chat room, if there's sufficient interest.  A chat room is simply a development of the original Internet Relay Chat  system, that started all the current social networks that now exist.
Essentially, it's simply a 'live' forum, where what you type appears in the chat room as you type it, thus allowing the group that have logged into the room to have a virtual conversation.  It differs from PMs in that the messages typed remain in view and the entire set simply scrolls slowly upwards as time goes on.

Don't like chat rooms myself, and the attraction tends to wane fairly rapidly, but we could install one, if you wished.
