I use Mozilla Firefox,  and when I log on to that, I am signed in to the Forum all the time, whether I am actually using it or not.

I have added in a new section as an experiment - http://threetownsforum.co.uk/forum/index.php/board,27.0.html - this uses the News Bot to automatically pull in news stories from sources such as the BBC, Daily Post and Weekly News. I am not sure how well it will work but will give it a try.

This is a good idea  $good$ and may well prove to be successful. It may also encourage debate which will no doubt make Ian a happy camper.

Rather than having to delve around different websites for news, now, they are all brought together.

Also, if you find something worth commenting on, you can simply post a reply under the relevant thread, unlike before, when you had to copy and paste from the respective website.

I've just re-jigged Nigel so that he gives us more local news, rather than stories about Anglesey etc.  :)

Is the handy "Upcoming Calendar" section on the main page new or have I been terribly unobservant?

I've just tried it out and wondered whether in future I can link an entry to something already posted, rather than starting a new post?  I've now duplicated the information on the harp concert, which I'd already posted under "What's on in Llandudno".

I've looked at that myself, I think you have to add a new post when you make the calendar entry, I can't see a way of linking an existing post to an entry, sorry.

I don't think Nigel can be modified in that particular way, I'm afraid. I can set him to post news items less often, maybe once a day instead of twice as at present? He only posts a FixMyStreet problem when a new one is added, so probably once a week or so.
