Just a little example of that....one thread called 'dreadful jokes',  and another called 'jokes-dreadful'

Last time I looked, there were two threads about Rhos on Sea that were confusingly similar too.

actually the jokes section is a good example, one person's good joke is another person's dreadful joke, so which one does your joke go in?

If I had a memory from 2 years ago in Rhos on Sea, would that go in times past?  (I know the answer, but sometimes these things overlap  :) )

True, but dreadful[ jokes are normally short, one liners where the hearer groans....

I have also introduced a Google search facility for the Forum, which can be found at the bottom of the main page. It displays the results in a way that some users may be more familiar with.  :)

As you will have noticed, Google Ads have been reintroduced to the Forum. Google suspended the original account after they found that someone had been doing a little too much clicking on the Ads - they are very sensitive about that sort of thing! As part of the new account's software, we can monitor the IP addresses of any 'suspicious behaviour' in that respect.

With that said, I would ask that users only click on an Ad if they are genuinely interested in learning more about the product/service advertised. All monies raised from advertising will go to pay for the running of the Forum, and any surplus will be donated to local charities/non profit organisations in the Three Towns area.

I intend to click on THOUSANDS of adverts, so that Google will suspend you again.... and you will have no alternative but to re-instate The Emporium web banner.

Yes... thats the plan....Harr...harr..harr!!!!     (Evil maniacal laughter)

I was looking at the Moneycounters4U sight a couple of weeks ago and lo and behold, their ad has been appearing. Coincidence?

The culprit in that case is almost certainly double click and Google.

More here about targeted adverts

 http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/html/about.html

It can be useful, although once you have bought the item you will see see the adverts for weeks afterwards telling you how you could have bought it cheaper  :rage:   _))*

I wonder who that was?  L0L

I'm looking regularly for a new job and I look on a number of different job sites, quite a few jobs appear in the local area but a lot of them don't suit me but might be of interest to other people. Would it be a good idea to share them on the forum?
