Only in so far as getting as much revenue as possible, until the owners want to use it.

I guess I am well and truly left out of this conversation. Should I be worried that I don't know J.R. nor the Vicar.? I don't know. I've always been a bit wet behind the ears

Don't worry Mike JR and The Vicar are one and the same. All this knowledge seems to have come from watching the chap on a couple of TV programs. Obviously we can't start giving his name out, but it seems to have become a joke !

I virtually never watch T.V. I might watch the news, and sometimes football. Too busy glued to my laptop screen

On a completely unrelated note, the Alexandra Hotel appears to be closed now.

Perhaps because he now seems to have spent his time at The Grand Ash, opening what claims to be an Internet cafe, but looks more like a brothel.

A brothel could be a nice addition to Llandudno...

A few years ago there was reputed to be one in Vardre Lane around the corner off Upper Mostyn St., but allegedly after a visit from some gentlemen from Liverpool, it closed.

There seems to be no movement with The Royal, which is rapidly going down hill.

It's handy for parking (illegal) if you need to go to the trams

A developer wants to drop plans to create a boutique hotel and restaurant in Deganwy.

The Deganwy Castle Hotel, which sits on a prominent site overlooking Conwy estuary, closed back in 2010 - putting 35 staff out of work.

It was later bought by North Wales developer Coastal and Country Developments who secured permission to transform the site into a five star boutique hotel, restaurant, bar and 26 apartments. This would have created dozens of new jobs.

The residential part of the scheme has been completed but planning agent Hourigan Connolly say that the developer has been unable to find a hotelier to take on the site despite efforts to market the property through local and national agents.

They now want to drop the hotel and restaurant plan and build an additional seven apartments instead.  &shake&
A planning application is now being prepared to submit to Conwy council and a community meeting was held recently in Deganwy.

Deganwy resident David Williams said: “This was a community hub for Deganwy where clubs and societies met and it has been a big loss over the last few years.
“The planning committee were very strong on insisting that any new scheme did include a hotel, restaurant and bar.
“That we could now lose these facilities permanently would be a very unfortunate development.”

Can anybody remember seeing any adverts seeking someone to take on the restaurant?
