To be fair, it was not trading conditions that caused the financial problems and I am sure the previous owners have since been well compensated.

The licensees of the Vic, have been informing their hotel Guests (The Elm Tree) that they are pulling out of the pub and are concentrating on the Hotel from now on.

That has been conveyed to me, but I thought that the Elm Tree was up for sale, so I'm a little puzzled.

This came back to me last night-- also a hint of who might be taking over. Have you heard any more Fester?

Are you sure they were Jewish?  If so which sort?   Did you inspect their private parts and check, or was it it just an anti Semitic guess?

They were orthodox jews.

Everyone was behaving fine and enjoying the good weather out on the balconies and in the front garden when we were returning from St David's Hospice Summer Fete on Saturday afternoon.

In fact, a few of them visited and supported the fete.

The area in question has many Jewish owned places. We mainly get the Hasidic Jews (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hasidic_Judaism#Headwear) immediately identifiable by the hats. which are lage and must be dreadfully hot in this weather.

Anyone had a look at Grand Hotel, Llandudno on Trip Advisor recently ?

After reading them reviews would you want to stay there ?

If the hotel is not doing its job properly, it is not doing anything for Llandudno reputation.

A group of customers came into my shop and said...
''Oh, we haven't been to Llandudno for a few years,  what a shame that The Grand Hotel closed down....  how long has it been DERELICT like that?''

The new Tudno Point Hotel .....artist's impression, looks like you would expect, keeping the old facade, therefore the character of the area and town,  its good this building and the Clarence have been saved,
maybe not the ideal tenants, but better than nothing being done at all.
I also noticed a lot of work in Madoc St. towards the Station, looks like flats,??? a nice development , in character.
