The most worrying statistic for North Wales at the moment is that confirmed cases are doubling at an alarming rate.
Keep that social distance from everyone and don't think we are getting off lightly here... it might be about to explode.

It's very puzzling, that; I wonder if the acknowledged lack of testing means there may well be a lot more folk infected than are being identified? In a sense that might be good news, in a way. If it's true, it could mean (and I stress 'could') that the overall danger of the disease isn't as great as we currently believe. If a whole lot more are infected but not displaying major symptoms it could mean that the disease in most cases isn't severe.  Currently, we're only seeing the most severe cases.

Having  said that, the UK has now experienced more than 16,000 deaths.  That's a great deal worse than a really bad influenza year. So it's still a deadly disease. We'll not know all the answers until and unless there's some sort of mass testing available.

WALES’ first minister Mark Drakeford has admitted that the operation to test care workers and others across the country has not gone to plan.

Speaking on BBC Politics Wales, Mr Drakeford said the process had become too bureaucratic and has now announced that the Welsh Government has consulted the army to help with a “slicker and more efficient” process.

The Welsh Government had predicted that by now there would have been 5,000 tests being carried out per day, but on Friday only 783 tests were carried out.

Anyone any idea why only cumulative "negative" figures are given?  I just wonder how many of the positive cases have actually been cured and discharged.
