Don't worry Steve things are changing by the hour and might change again by the time the 5,00 pm update comes on.

If Boris doesn't know what is going on what chance do the rest of us have?       &shake&

I telephoned CCBC because I couldn't find any information on their website https://gov.wales/conwy-county-borough-lockdown-frequently-asked-questions about how the new restrictions would impact local Hotels and Guesthouses. I was told guests must all leave before 18:30 tomorrow and no new check-ins until after the regulations are eased, which is going to have a significant impact on many, in our small business community.

Blongb,  do the new regulations refer to airbnb as well?        I've had reasons to search the airbnb websites and there are hundreds in the N Wales area and I'm sure that many people are using these to come over the border especially during the first lockdown

To be fair, I doubt he's ever really understood what's happening. I think most of us have a better chance.

This link may clarify a bit about what visitors from over the border can or can't do regarding holidays in the lockdown counties of N Wales

The rules applies to everyone Hugo, no tourists until the new lockdown is lifted.

Fresh coronavirus rules have been brought in for Liverpool and Warrington amid a surge in cases.

Health secretary Matt Hancock announced that the two areas would see new rules on socialising and attending sporting events.

He said people living in the areas are being advised to avoid non-essential travel - but stopped short of bringing in rules to prevent people leaving the impacted areas.
This means people are still free to travel from the areas, through local lockdown counties in North Wales, and into parts of Wales where local lockdowns are not in force.

Too many mixed messages and it's no wonder people are confused.

So the latest one for Liverpool could mean that people from the Liverpool area that has a hire rate of infection can travel to Anglesey and Gwynedd and have holidays there in areas that have a low rate of infection.
It makes no sense at all      &shake&

Last week when I was parked on Conwy Quay the Liverpool Arms was very busy and there were no signs of social distancing going on.   Yesterday evening at about 7.00 pm there were only about two or three people sitting outside and they were all sitting alone.
Perhaps the cold weather had put them off but the new lockdown rules have also affected other parts of North Wales

Most of the hotels in this area were in darkness last night, gates closed and car parks empty.

Unconfirmed chat last night, that after most hotels advised guests about the new rules and issuing refunds, coaches were accepted by another hotel, who says, after checking with council, told they could stay until Sunday, lots of angry hotel owners ?

As I understand it, hotels can still accept people from within Conwy (the local area as defined by the regs) and people travelling in the course of their business, so the regs are loosely defined and as always, poorly implemented.

They are still allowing people from the Liverpool  area to travel out of that area even though it is in lockdown.        The Welsh First Minister has written to Boris about this but to date has not received a reply, perhaps it's time for him to pick up the phone and resolve the anomaly

You can say that again! One of the comments after that stupid announcement was from one of the owners of one of the bigger hotels in the area. I feel a war coming on !

Strikes me that there must be a lot of conflicting news.

Covid: Boris Johnson rejects Wales-England travel ban.       Is that just stupidity or the after effects of the Cummings cover up?

The man that helped get the Tory Party elected flouts the Rule 6 Regulation.           Thank goodness he is no longer leader of the Labour Party
