This should be in the OSCAR thread  WWW
Nothing to do with that, I believe. Just a local nutter on the rampage.

The newsagent has had problems with this man for months

So have a lot more people in the area.

I don't understand why the community should have to put with people like this man, who is basically a danger to the general public due to mental health issues. Never mind his rights, what about the right of everyone else to be able to walk safely around town without fear of being randomly attacked?

Could make quite a gang if they were all gathered up.
I have every sympathy with mental illness, but when people become a danger to both themselves and the local community, they need care.

LIFEBOAT CALLOUT: Llandudno Lifeboat was launched this afternoon after reports a semi rigid dinghy had capsized. The 16 foot dinghy with a woman and three children capsized in blustery conditions a quarter of a mile from Colwyn Bay pier.
The crew of the boat managed to right it, with all four making it back in and getting back to shore safely and unaided.

NEW........
At 2pm today volunteers made their way to the incident, where a woman and three children aboard the dinghy were thought to be in distress.
When they got to the scene, the 16-foot Venture-class dinghy had been righted and made its way to shore unaided.
The lifeboat was not required to launch and was able to return to station 2.25pm.
A Llandudno RNLI spokesman said: “Whilst happily our services weren't needed on this occasion, situations like this can deteriorate very quickly and the member of the public who alerted the Coastguard with a 999 call so promptly definitely did the right thing.  Ref Pioneer

Thanks, Gwynant. And thanks Steve. I see now it happened on the notorious 'dog-leg' bit which is due to be straightened out by the WAG in the near future.  Twisty bends, poor line-of-sight, narrowing road and a junction just round the corner, combine with incompetent drivers who take the bends far too quickly.
