Same Company & Directors who have just bought the lease on Bodlondeb Civic Offices in Conwy. Is there really the need for two World Class Business Centres so close together?

Sounds like more Welsh government grant money up for grabs by private companies........?

I do recall someone mentioning that they hope it will be a self repairing lease, and not left to the tax payers........... 

CONWY County Borough Council has entered into an agreement for its Bodlondeb offices to be leased.

The council confirmed this morning it has agreed a lease with the Quidos Investments Ltd for the Conwy building.

Quidos plan to use the premises to develop a new business centre.

Councillors gave the final go-ahead for all democratic and office services to move to one location at Coed Pella, in Colwyn Bay, on December 5.

The agreement for lease means Quidos will sign a 250-year lease on Bodlondeb in late May...........

A nuclear power station was blocked by officials who were concerned about its impact on the Welsh language, it emerged yesterday.

Senior industry figures slammed the move as Sir Keir Starmer seeks to launch a generation of mini nuclear plants by watering down planning laws.

In one farcical case, government planning inspectors rejected a multi-billion-pound project on the Welsh island of Anglesey on grounds including the negative 'socio-economic' impact on the local community.

Claiming it could put pressure on housing, forcing locals to relocate, the five planning inspectors added in their report: 'In turn, given the number of Welsh-speaking residents, this could adversely affect Welsh language and culture.'

The 906-page document was cited by industry figures as an example of the difficulty with opening the nuclear power stations that Sir Keir announced his support for on Thursday.

Response after claim Welsh language scuppered Wylfa nuclear plant
The Telegraph reported that the nuclear power plant was "shelved after concerns for Welsh language". This is based on a planning inspectorate report released into the public domain four years ago in February 2021, although it was completed in the autumn of 2019.

The landowner was prosecuted and found guilty of 'wilfully obstructing a person acting in the exercise of a right of entry'. They were ordered to pay a fine as well as Denbighshire Council’s legal costs

CCBC is guilty of the same failure to inspect any building work and when the developer has been found to have completed construction work without permission CCBC allows it to stand and agrees to a retrospective planning application which is then passed

New Denbighshire sewage works 'shouldn't smell' worried locals told
The plans for Tremeirchion have been put forward by Welsh Water but people living locally fear it will result in odours and a loss of local habitats
I don't blame the villagers of Tremeirchion raising a stink about this proposal from Dwr Cymru.
Some years ago Dwr Cymru wanted to relocate the sewage works from near the Black Cat roundabout to near the hamlet of Dolwyd.    They also gave a virtual cast iron assurance that there would be no odours as a result of the move.   Everyone objected and the proposal was refused by CCBC
Since then I have driven past the old sewage works numerous times and quite often there is a very unpleasant smell coming from the works.
There is also a pumping station near Lidl's in the junction and the pong from it can sometimes be smelt in the pub I go to
