Snow warnings upgraded to amber and North Wales faces wintry start to New Year
The upgraded alert is in place for Scotland where heavy snow is expected to fall and a yellow alert is in place for North Wales

It warns accumulations of 10-20cm of snow are likely at low levels, with 30-40cm possible on high ground, while winds could lead to temporary blizzard conditions.

North Wales Weather
Snow possible in North Wales this week as Met Office issues weather warning
A deepening area of low pressure is expected to move north bringing rain and wintry showers

Whether we get any snow remains to be seen but we didn't get any snow on Colwyn Heights in  the last storm.      We did however get a heavy snowfall earlier on in the week and I had to clear the drive twice.      What we did get also was ice and the drives and road were like sheets of ice and it wasn't safe to walk on the ice.
I had a pair of Yak Trax which I fitted on my shoes and they were brilliant, in fact I tested them out just walking on the ice and they worked perfectly
