No Pictures on this one

Question 1:

How many average sized people, sitting side by side, without any gaps, can you seat on the Promenade benches, in the space between the Deck Chair Attendants hut and the Imperial Slipway?

Question 2:

What is the approximate combined total of their ages, if all places were taken, in mid June?

Question 3:

On the same June day, what is the predominant hair colour?

It is Plas Mawr, in fact The Grand Hall.  Looks like a nice place to visit so I must go there and have a shufti one day.      Z**
Don't waste your time or money Yorkie.
We went a couple of years ago, it was not too exciting.  Pricey too.
We had just seen a particularly uneventful episode of 'Most Haunted' on TV which was filmed at Plas Mawr.  Nothing happened, as per usual.

Just applied for FREE (over 60) passes for me and the OH.  Took then to the Castle but told to post them off as they don't issue passes there.  So we will now be able to enjoy CADW buildings etc. for nowt!   And you know what they say about nowt in Yorkshire land!!!    L0L

There does not seem to be:

I wonder if English Heritage reciprocate and provide a discount to Cadw members ?

Don't think so-- we discussed this subject with a guide at Stokesay Castle last year. She hadn't even heard of the CADW scheme.

Speaking of bargains for the over 55s, Arriva Trains Wales have a scheme whereby you can travel anywhere on the their Network for just £15 return. You just need proof of age when buying the tickets.

I have taken this point up with English Heritage and there is a reciprocal arrangement.  This is half price entry to EH sites if you have a PAID MEMBERSHIP to CADW.  Free Memberships do NOT have the concession.

Maybe this point should be taken up with CADW!     :rage:

Answer to Quiz:

No. of people = No. of Bums on one bench x No. of Benches

Total age = ((Age of Oldest + Age of Youngest) divided by 2) x No. of people

Colour = white

We can get on to more serious stuff now!      _))*

Englsh Heritage must have negotiated the discount on behalf of its Members.    So I presume that CADW should do likewise on behalf of its Members.

The National Trust have a system that operates very successfully across boundaries.   Unfortunately there is no free Membership irrespective of how old you are!    ¢¢##
