Also, despite me being a Christian ... what if my bird chose to be a Zen Bhuddist for example?

No.  It all seems very odd to me.

I'm definitely not a Christian ( older religions interest me more ;) )  but it seems a very nice idea to me, people love their pets often more than family and neighbours and I seem to recall it worked very well on The vicar of Dibley some years ago!

There are theological precedents, but most won't realise, or have any clue about those, I suspect. Technically, a 'blessing' is through to impart some aspect of 'divine' protection, or to imbue the blessed with some degree of spiritual association, which actually sounds even odder, to me, at any rate. But then - the Christian church is hardly a homogeneous entity.

The Rector says that the Pet Blessing service is a celebration of the love and affection which people give to and receive from their pets.  Does that make it any clearer?

As I've said before, EVERYONE is welcome.

I gave (and recieved) an awful lot of love and affection from my Poppy last night, (Didn't I Merddin?)

But... I fear that if I took her to church, she might get a little jittery.

yes you did  :-*   ;D  she would be ok in her cage, I'm wondering what 20 or so pigeons would make of it all? :)  I still think it's a great idea!

There's a very small brass band playing outside the cafe on the coach park, Mostyn Broadway.  They were playing quietly but I could still hear them at B & Q.  Very good I think they are youngsters and quite a crowd watching.

It was the Llandudno Lions 15km Road Race today, starting on the Prom and then round the Orme as far as West Shore and then back again. Here are just some of the winners, with prizes being presented by Mr Dennis Pearson, president of Llandudno Lions:

There seems to be something going on this morning on the promenade outside Venue Cymru.

If I had to guess I would say it was an MG Owners Club Rally.
