Doubt you will get one-- we are in the process of trying to change ours and because we have no debts of any sort no one wants to know.

Yes I've heard that being debt free is bad for credit rating, we only ever had a small mortgage which we paid off around 5 years ago, we never had any other loans, I know that makes us unusual these days

Have to agree there's some sound advice on moneysavingexpert.com, I always use the site when it's time to tart my credit card/s ;D
I've used thelightingsuperstore before to buy some ceiling fans with no problems but I wont be using them again,
I do expect the store to reimburse me eventually but as said, it is very bad practise to take the money prior to despatch of goods.
I've no problem using a Lloyds debit card for any purchase as they promise 'that whenever you use your Lloyds TSB credit or debit card to shop online, you'll be protected against fraud',
I know credit cards will be safer in certain situations as they have the full weight of section 75 behind them but it's good to see the t&c's of debit cards catching up with those of credit cards.

Yes, these days you can only borrow money if you can prove that you DON'T NEED IT. !!

Or.... if there is someone in The Victoria Shopping Centre who is on commission to make you sign up for one.

I've no interest in borrowing money, it's that section 75 protection, it would be great if they put that on debit cards too. Mind you I rarely buy anything over £100

There must be a chance of the weather beginning to improve because the council has just filled ( I say filled but most of it was around the outside and not inside) the grit bin on Black Gate.

Y'know what really does my head in is the people on Oscars who criticise the Welsh for being just that in our own country

"they resent the spendthrift posturing of two-bit Welsh (and Scottish)"
"Wales is not a country"
"Were racist"
Just a few of the comments!!!!

I have nothing against anyone from anywhere who wants to live here, but don't be telling me, while your here, we are a bunch of degenerates who can't run our own country,  just because were proud of our culture.  >>> >>> >>> :rage: :rage:

I think it is the extremists who cause the Welsh reputation to be tarnished.  I am from away and get on well with the Welsh but regret I do not appreciate the actions of those extremists who want everything "Welsh" and cannot abide anyone or anything that is "Foreign"!

To be fair, there are far many more people in England like that - you only have to look at the plethora of right wing racist groups there, not to mention the success the BNP has had in elections.

Indeed, but there are a couple of differences.  The Right Wing extremists in England tend to be mainly anti-colour, not anti-caucasian, Welsh or Scottish. They dislike those whose skin colour is different to theirs, and tend not to become concerned with the non-English, prividing their skin colour is fair.

The second - and perhaps more significant - difference is that those groups (and their aspirations) are generally shunned and detested by the vast majority of folk in England.

But extremism of any sort is to be resisted, because it fosters the agenda of unreasoning hatred, a path down which lies atrocities, something evidenced all too clearly in WWII.

It will never change as long as Celtic and Rangers continue to knock seven bells out of each other. )*)&

And, of course, many other football supporters from all over the country, and even the World! :rage:
