I would always leave a new restaurant for a month or two to allow it to settle down before visiting.

There's a new Italian ice cream parlour being kitted out in one of the Travelodge's shop units.

Fair way to go to beat the King's house, though :-) 

TA reviews on that one are decidedly odd. More than half rate it as Terrible and slightly under half as Excellent.

We passed the London in Upper Mostyn Street this afternoon and noticed it had closed for refurbishment by the LC Hotel Group.

Another great meal in the Blue Elephant on Friday night, the South Indian Garlic Chilli was as fantastic as always. I spotted a famous local journalist in there too.  8)
