Seems Llandudno is finally going to get an Antique shop (next to Kindways @ 6 Trinity Avenue)
bet it ends up just being a junk shop

Hasn’t there been an antique shop in Vaughan Street near the Imperial Hotel for many years ?

You're right Bri, it's been there for years (at least 50 that I can remember )      I think that their name was Lee and Jas' brother Bryan married the daughter of the owner.
Jas said that her brother in law has taken over the business from his parents.

I bought our Silver cutlery from there almost 40 years ago when we were up visiting my in-laws.  There was also an antique shop in Madoc Street where the Round Table shop is and also one at West Shore.   Most of the antique Business has moved to Deganwy with a new one due to open where the cafe was and also the Junction with Collinge's place.

An antique antique shop, not exactly the high class place I'd have envisaged

Collinge has some nice stuff in his shop, you can easily spend an hour looking through it all.

Dave, really, never mind spending an hour looking around, how about five minutes putting your hand in your stitched pocket? LOL

"A “WILD WEST” pub brawl that left a man needing 26 stitches caused the closure of a seaside hotel.

The fracas at The Alexandra Hotel in Clonmel Street, Llandudno, involved 20 people, and led to the police shutting down the premises.

Yesterday Conwy’s licensing sub committee met at Llandudno Town Hall to review the licence and heard they had no door staff on the night of the brawl and that it followed another “violent incident” outside the pub the evening before.

They ruled it should remain closed."

Inspector Ian Verburg, of North Wales Police, said later: “The reason it was so serious was bad management. Door supervisors would have stopped it descending into something like from the Wild West and stopped someone needing 26 stitches.”

How does he know this for sure?

Had lunch in the Top Table cafe and restaurant (the old Nineteen opposite the Town Hall in Llandudno) today. It was almost full and the service seemed a little slow as a result (they are probably still finding their feet as well). However, the food and drink was good and the staff were friendly. Prices about average. Certainly worth a visit.
