Farm and pet shop Mostyn Street closing down on the 5th of July.
Lady assistant comes from over there so she is still in a job.

Shame they are closing it, handy for my pigeon food. At least the Abergele place is a nice run out.

Yesterday Fester recommended the dressed crab from the fish stall on the pier and we are so glad we bought some.
Really fresh tasting, delicious crab, a nice treat.

BHS stores in Llandudno and Wrexham will continue to trade through the summer as they sell off remaining stock.
Sources at the retailer said they expected most stores to remain open for the "next couple of months".
This is to shift the seasonal stock at the retail giant.

They added that no new stock would be bought in for the autumn, making the likely store closure dates to be early in September.
BHS, which employs more than 100 staff at its stores in Llandudno and Wrexham, went into administration in April.
Attempts to find a buyer to take on the whole operation have failed, leading to plans to wind down the business.

There remains hope a buyer could be found for some of the 163 UK stores with reports Sports Direct owner Mike Ashley could still be interested in a deal for around 80 shops.
Chains like Primark and Peacocks are also reportedly interested in cherry picking certain stores. ref DP

Left my OH with the dog whilst I nipped into WH Smiths in Colwyn Bay. The state of the underside of the canopy has to be seen to be believed. The glass is cracked, the spiders webs so profuse that no one would guess that it is still open. No wonder the bay is looking like it does !

There are some interesting details in this article..........

Discount chain Poundland has agreed to a £597m takeover by South African retail group Steinhoff International.
Steinhoff said Poundland would be a "complementary fit" to its expansion plans in the UK and the rest of Europe.
Poundland operates more than 900 stores across the UK, Ireland and Spain, and employs 18,000 people, but recently announced falling profits.
Steinhoff owns 40 retail brands in 30 countries, including Bensons for Beds and Harveys in the UK.
