Andy, may I ask how you managed to come across that obscure review, on the very same day it was posted?  ?{}?

You've caught me out.  I am Dunstan, but only when there's a full moon  WWW.

p.s. I wouldn't disagree that Yelp is an obscure site but according to my profile I've got 341 reviews on there, although I have got a good excuse for that 8).

Andy, the only 'good reason' for having posted 341 reviews on such a site, is if they pay you £100 per entry.

I didn't get £100 per review but over the years I got an iPod Shuffle, a £50 Amazon voucher, and iWoot voucher (can't remember how much that one was for), two photos of my choice turned into oil paintings by an artist called Garth Bayley, a t-shirt, a couple of mugs, a frisbee, a memory stick, a shopping bag and bag of Haribos and a cuddly toy.  I also got quite a few invites to parties and other exciting events, unfortunately as they were all held in London, and on one occasion in Pembrokeshire, I never got to go to any of them  :(.

n.b. I've just had a look at Garth Bayley's websites and some of his paintings are priced at £800+ so maybe one day in years to come my two bespoke paintings might be worth a bob or two and I might just end up getting that £100 per review  D).

A conservative estimate B2R, hence the reason for my arthritic knees and lack proliferation of scar tissue!

A long and undistinguished career, for someone who was never any good at the game.  :( :(

The pain is really not worth it.

We walked into Llandudno this morning, before it started raining, and visited the Fragrance Shop in the Victoria Centre around 10.20am where Mrs R purchased two bottles of perfume for a total amount of £43.98.

We then walked out of the shop, turned right and passed Thorntons and Badgers Café but outside the Ham Bone food stall, I noticed a pile of leaflets advertising the Fragrance Shop and a daily 20% discount on items purchased between noon – 2pm.

What would you do?

Sounds like a strange marketing ploy?  A time-bound discount!
Almost like 'happy-hour' in a pub for cheap beer.

If the Fragrance Shop can make a profit at the prices offered after 12 noon,  then they will still make the same profit at 11.30am.

Most odd.

I totally agree, Fester.

The Sales Assistant informed us it is advertised up in the Car Park and at various places in the Victoria Centre.

However, it is not advertised in or outside their shop.

A very strange way to do business.

If you've got a smart phone and you're on O2 keep an eye out on O2 Priority Moments as the Fragrance Shop quite often have offers on there (as do Body Shop).  There's no cosmetic/perfume offers at present but you can get a free can of de-icer from Halfords and a free hot drink from Caffe Nero.

p.s. The 20% lunchtime offer at the Fragrance Shop isn't new, Mrs FA has mentioned this several times in the past.
