 we have six beaks to feed here, plus numerous wild beaks!  $good$

I too used to go there for bantam food and substrate for the tortoise. Sadly I now have no beaks left to feed, but Alice the Tortoise is still going strong. So it will be handy to go there.

Be quick.

The Closing Down sale in the former JJB Sports Retail Unit on Mostyn Champneys has only two (2) more days to go.

Can anyone remember when it started?

I heard a little buzz today about someone being interested in the former Parrs premises in Upper Mostyn Street. Possibly for another daytime food outlet.

I spoke to the manageress of the Betws y Coed Cadwaladers today and she said they would not be returning to their former premises in Mostyn Street because the rent and rates are too high, but that they are looking for alternative premises in the town.

Alot there will depend if they only want an ice cream outlet or a cafe type of premises. There seem to be alot of cafes where ice creams are sold.

Cadwaladars have been moving towards more of a coffee shop concept in recent years. A lot of work was carried out recently on their old premises in Llandudno.

Sports Direct took over the shop last October and have been running it as a clearance store since then.  It is now closed but the shopfitters are in there today converting into a proper branch of Sports Direct which will no doubt be open within the next few days.  You can't help feeling they've got their timings wrong, having waited ten months they've ended up closing the store for the refit on a bank holiday weekend, d'oh!   Sports Direct also took over the JJB shop in Rhyl but it looks like they've abandoned that one as it's been empty for some time.

I had a long chat with her this morning Nem and she recons all outstanding problems should be sorted out in about a week's time. So if any of you fancy some fresh baked oatcakes, put your order in now to avoid the rush.   ££$

Thanks B.B. I see there are now sacks of flour or something similar stacked in there. Let us hope that she finally gets the place open before the winter lull sets in. ££$
