The Landlord of The London looks like Tom Selleck, (Magnum PI)

Cat,can you tell us if £149k is for the business only?
In which case there would be rent to pay on top of that..... or is it for the Leasehold on the property?

I would imagine you're buying the lease/business and would have to pay the rent on top.

Not sure. For that kind of money one would assume you are paying for a lease and paying rent on top. Is a busy place must make good money I think they are buying a bigger place with rooms somewhere down south.
Hope the Ales dont change. Wounder if my piano is worth that much

The London is an excellent pub in terms of decor and entertainment, its well managed too.
It is very busy on weekend nights.

However, it is entirely dead for the majority of the week, and the food often disappoints.

Another problem has always been the fridges, only half of them work and warm beer often results!

I've always found the London to be a bit of an odd place. It all looks very pleasant but its lacking in character, almost as if Little Chef had tried to design a pub.

I see the 'Accordian Man' has gone from the corner of the pier, to be replaced by an Antiques Shop. Haven't been that way for a while, so only just noticed. bet Fester will be pleased !

 D) D) good news! What a dreadful noise that was! Since moving to Rhos on Sea we've not had much time to go to the pier!

Same here-- been too busy to get in that direction for a day or two. I know certain people who come here on holiday who used to sit all afternoon and listen to him ----Ouch !

The 'accordian man' is called Mick Edwards, and he left the pier after the 2010 season after quite a few years in situ.   He was a nice guy actually.

In 2011, Dan the Man, (an Irish singer) took over that spot, but he was poor to be honest, and a little scary to look at... nor did he make sufficient effort and could not make a living from that pitch.

The Antiques shop is being run by Andrew Scarratt, who many of you will know from his involvement in the organisation of the Victorian Extravaganza.  He is working even LONGER hours than me!   He and his family are really pleasant people, I hope he does well and prospers.
