There are about 250 varieties of Dandelion and I must have a lot of them in my garden.    The tallest Dandelion measured 70 inches but I've done some tidying up work in a neighbours garden and found a Dandelion that's well over 70 inches tall.    The neighbour did say that he was not a gardener but that's quite obvious when you have a close look around the garden

This year the flowers on our Yucca Tree have been late in flowering,  some are out at the moment but I've counted 21 flowers in total and they may be too heavy for the tree

I was walking past a neighbours garden yesterday when I noticed some form of Fungi growing on the lawn.   They were quite big and I wasn't sure if they were edible or not so I  just left them there and they will probably be mown up when the gardener comes there today

My Yucca Tree is now looking in a sorry state after this weeks rain and wind.     I dread to think what it'll look like after tomorrow's gales.
I've counted 25 flower spikes on it now, some are in flower and the rest are still to flower.     In truth I suppose there are too many flower spikes for the tree and in the past I've had to cut some off as they were too heavy.

With the strange weather pattern we have had this year plus the recent strong winds the leaves on my Maple trees are disappearing fast so I took some photos before they all vanish

She just wanted her moment in the spotlight, I imagine. You have to actually eat and chew the beans to become ill, although the plant is extremely allergenic. Wolfbane is far more lethal and grows wild.

?Second spring? as plants continue to bloom amid record temperatures
The unseasonal plant growth comes as the UK recorded 10 months of unprecedented above-average temperatures

Ned Lomax, head gardener of Bodnant Garden in Conwy, said: "Some plants are actively growing or flowering now as a response to the mild and wet weather following the long, dry summer when growth wasn?t possible."

It comes after the UK experienced an "unprecedented" heatwave this summer, which saw temperatures top 40C for the first time.

This is a test to see if the photo will upload.
It is a photo of the pond that Mr H built earlier this year.

The snow has mainly gone from my back garden but this morning I realised that I hadn't put a fleece blanket on the Australian Tree Fern so I hope that the snow and frost hasn't affected it this year.
We've had worse Winters up here and the Tree Fern has survived the Winters so fingers crossed for this year

Carpets of bluebells, bunches of golden daffodils, blossoming wildflower meadows ? spring really is the season of new life. And there?s no finer way to see blooming spring floral displays than visiting Bodnant Garden in Conwy here in North Wales ? now christened the UK?s best spring wildflower garden.

After analysing online reviews and ratings and looking at the frequency of specific keywords in reviews, such as ?wildflower? and ?spring?, South Western Railway named their top 10 best-rated gardens to visit this spring. Find the full list of gardens here.

Llandudno to represent Wales at final of Britain in Bloom competition

AFTER Llandudno in Bloom?s successful gold award in the Royal Horticultural Society?s (RHS) ?Wales in Bloom? competition last year, it has now been accepted as a finalist in the RHS Britain in Bloom UK finals for 2023.

The Britain in Bloom judges are due to visit in late July or early August, and Llandudno will be competing against six other towns from the UK, in the coastal category.

Chairman of Llandudno in Bloom, Cllr Louise Emery, said: ?This prestigious event showcases the best towns and villages from across the UK.

?We want the whole community to get involved, whether that be by joining a ?friends group? to keep our parks maintained, making your front garden look extra special this year, or litter-picking in your spare time.

?We want to make the town look fabulous this summer.?

If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact Llandudno Town Council by telephone on 01492 879130.

The heavy snow that we've had makes the garden look quite nice
