We introduced this because some folk who post images aren't sure if they should continue, partly because of a lack of feedback. As we know a lot of people might browse and enjoy the images but don't post their appreciation, and we though a simple button is easier to click than making an entire posting. It's all a bit trial and error, I'm afraid.

If someone 'likes' your post it will show to the right of the Like button for others and in the bottom of the post in question, where you'll be able to see it.
