Another fantastic goal from Beckham,  perhaps Utd may sign him for next season?

Crucial games today and the Premier League could go  either way  Utd or City, it's still not decided so  anything can happen!

Man City 3    QPR 2                Sunderland 0   Man Utd 1

What an unbelievable end to the football season with City scoring two goals in the last few minutes and therefore winning the Premier League on goal difference.

Interesting to watch the pre match interviews, what part of Manchester is the manager from?
And for that matter the players, any of them actually born in Manchester /Uk for that matter or is it all just big business?

Paul Scholes (Salford) was the only player or manager from Manchester in yesterday's games.

Mind you I had a look at United's 1968 European cup winning team  and only 3 of them (Stiles,Aston and Kidd) were from Manchester. City's 1968 League winning  team only had 3 regular first team players (Corrigan,Doyle and Young)born in Manchester.

Way too much time on my hands!

As a Bolton fan I just can't wait to see next years fixture list. Not !

Liverpool's loss yesterday at Swansea City leaves Liverpool below neighbours Everton in the final table for just the second time in 25 years.

The fact that they won the Carling Cup and got to the FA Cup final is little comfort to Liverpool  whose poor and inconsistent performance in the League is obvious with them finishing below Everton.

This will be painful for United fans but as a neutral I thought this video showed all the twists and turns of the last five minutes of Sunday.

My Hubby is a Liverpool supporter....we were painting the new flat on Sunday and all he kept doing was texting his mate to get updates.  One minute he was distraught at the thought Man Utd might win but only a couple of minutes later he was jumping round with joy.  Liverpool fans may be happy with their own efforts this season he but consoled himself with the fact Man Utd lost.  I have no interest whatsoever in football btw.  I have better things to argue about.  :) and besides he wanted to go for a celebration drink, so I was quite happy to set down my brush.

Kenny Dalglish has been sacked as Liverpool manager.

The 61-year-old has paid the price for Liverpool's poor Premier League performances, especially at Anfield.

Dalglish's departure comes after face-to-face talks with principal owners John W Henry and Tom Werner in Boston on Monday.

Despite reaching the FA Cup final and winning the Carling Cup, the Reds finished eighth in the top flight having lost as many games as they won.

Dalglish had been expected to take a holiday this week, but flew to the US instead to review the season with Henry and Werner.

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez and former boss Rafael Benitez have been installed as early favourites to fill the position.

Dalglish's dismissal follows the departure of director of football Damien Comolli and the club's head of sports medicine Peter Brukner in April.

Dalglish returned to manage the club for a second time in the wake of Roy Hodgson's departure in January 2011, initially on a caretaker basis until the end of the season.

After a strong finish to the season he was made permanent manager on 12 May 2011 on a three-year contract, but has been unable to carry that momentum into the new campaign.

Dalglish's second stint in charge at Anfield also proved controversial at times.

The Scot defended Luis Suarez in the wake of the striker's ban for racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra when the teams met in October.

After the Uruguayan's apparent refusual to shake Evra's hand in the return fixture in February, an apology from both player and manager came only after the intervention of the US owners.

Swansea manager Brendan Rogers appointed new Liverpool manager. Is he not lacking in experience to cope with the "prima donnas" there? At 39 he is not much older than some of the players.

I wish him well but doubt whether he will last a season.

There was some talk in the press of a more experienced Director of Football coming in to sit above the coach.

Louis Van Gaal from Ajax was lined up to come in as Director, but that got axed when Brendan Rodgers demanded full control of all football matters.
Fair play to him, I say!
