People being fined for parking on closed road in marooned North Wales town
Critics say ticket wardens are 'adding insult to injury' in the seaside town

Residents forced to put up with the long-term closure of their high street are now being fined for parking on it, it’s been claimed. Businesses remain open in Deganwy but many are struggling with the road's closure and are happy to get any footfall they can.

Traders claim a 10-week gas pipe project is causing major disruption in the seaside town. One notable shop has been forced to shut already, its owner citing the “detrimental effect” the works have had on her business since the road was closed to through-traffic three weeks ago.

I drove along the A470  southbound from Llandudno Junction and got as far as the West End in Glan Conwy AND GOT STUCK IN A VERY LONG TRAFFIC DELAY
The trouble is near the McBryde housing estate.    There are traffic lights there and just a single track with a 10 mph limit, added to that is that there is a convoy system in place
Unfortunately for me I was only going to Talgoed Nursery so I had to return home the same way

Hugo,
You could have missed the queue and been a little more adventurous and headed up to the B5113 -Old Llanwrst Road to get home!

Now you tell me Hammy!       I couldn't even get on to the A470 from Talgoed Nursery let alone get to the B5113

One thing for certain is that I won't be going to Talgoed Nursery for a breakfast until the road works are finished.  it'll have to be Llandudno instead
