Last night I had arranged to see my brothers at the Crossings, a pub near Lidl's in Llandudno Junction so I left home in Colwyn Bay at 7.30 pm.       Before doing so I checked the A55 web cam for traffic and it looked ok at the Junction end so I drove on to the A55 at the Mochdre slip road and for a very short while the tyraffic was moving but then at the Station Road area in Mochdre everything came to a halt
It was horrendous especially in the heat.
We had to exit via the Black Cat roundabout and there the situation was even worse.   There were dozens of traffic light changes but no traffic was moving and all intending to go through the town of Junction.      I was in the inside lane and there was a gap in the middle lane so I went in to the outside lane for the A470.
I then finished my journey via Marl, Albert Drive and St Georges Drive and arrived in the club and it took me an hour in total to get from Colwyn Bay to Llandudno Junction.    Something similar happened to a friend who was there and it took him two and a half hours to travel from Criccieth to Llandudno Jinction.       Others stuck in the traffic would have had far worse delays than I had
